What you need to know:
After going face-to-face with Generation X, it was clear the past was not what it seemed and they made another jump. This time, they arrive and see themselves facing off against Magneto and the Brotherhood of Evil.
What just happened?
The team survey the situation and recall the fight, but in this version, it was completely different. Magneto makes an offer to the O5, while Bloodstorm tells the team how in her world, Magneto never reformed.
This team of X-Men and their professor are brutal as they make their intentions and actions perfectly clear. Back at this timeline’s X-Men base, they expect company, but they do seem to be saying some strange things. I wouldn’t expect anything less than a further twist in this adventure and we get them almost immediately.
Beast pulled the X-Men and Magneto to safety in the nick of time. Magneto has lots of questions and from where they are, he can actually see the timeline. This is pretty wicked, as you can imagine. Magneto plans seize an opportunity, but not if young Jean Grey has a say.
There is a nice exchange of words between Angel and Cyke when they see the other O5 are already there and think they could be free in the future from this past, but Cyke knows they cannot leave this team in their place. Jean sets the tone with Magneto in how they intend to take on the X-Men already here, but there is another shock in store as they fiercely duke it out. One from the fast future?
Because we are in a paradox, anything can happen and I think that is what makes this series so awesome; nothing is what I expect and the past is different. But the puzzle is starting to come together as the revelations start to be shared.
One thing I still hate is because of the plot, there is no real room for character development. You might as well leave Hudson and Bloodstorm back home, as they don’t add to the story, and I am also missing Bobby’s stupid jokes and banter.
