What You Need to Know:
The Starjammers have been taken prisoner by a symbolic bounty hunter and the displaced X-Men have teamed up with Venom. But whilst snooping in a space bar, they come into contact with the captures.
What Just Happened?
So there is a bar and you can only imagine one thing that happens in space bars. That’s right. A fight. However, it goes south quickly for the team and Venom tells them to pull out. Angel and Iceman get Cyke and Jean away from the enemy.
Venom wants some payback, but he notices the snitch that landed them all in hot water and intends on getting some answers. Meanwhile, Scott is hurt pretty bad so Jean helps him with the pain control, but all he wants is to save his dad and friends.
The starjammers are being tortured, but even worse: the Brood have placed a heavy bid to have them from the bounty hunters. Venom and the X-Men follow a lead which takes them into contact with Mancer, a symbiotic dealer. So as they head in to make the rescue, the tube shatters and the symbiotes are free.
What does this mean for our heroes?
Ok. There was some fighting a retreat, Venom getting information, and then a rescue gone wrong. Other than that, not much added to the plot except where it led to in the final scene, which I think was the whole point.
However, there was still some great scenes; the torture of the starjammers showed how serious the situation was. Venom had some great scenes and dialogue; this issue felt like an ensemble, but i still would have liked more from Iceman, Beast and Angel.
