Synopsis: Looking to make his mark on Gotham City’s crowded underworld, Red Hood infiltrates the Iceberg Lounge in an attempt to further annoy the Penguin. But it might be the Penguin who gets the drop on Red Hood this time. Plus, the truth about Bizarro’s condition finally comes out—and the consequences could be catastrophic for Artemis!
What You’ll Need To Know: In the last issue, Bizarro went off his rocker and nearly executed a ton of henchmen via a social media app he created to get them all under one roof. It took Jason, someone who executes bad guys with ease, to stop him. Jason Todd does not have the same no-kill mentality as Batman. Being murdered will do that to a person. He kills the henchmen, mobsters, and murderers of Gotham, but not since he made a promise to Batman in the beginning of the series. He even took it easy on Black Mask of all villains. Jason asks Bizarro if he would have stopped before he killed them if Jason wasn’t there. I hope he realized the error of his ways and would have done it on his own. It’s not like he was trying to kill murderer/rapists, just henchmen looking for a paycheck. After all that, Artemis finds Bizarro’s pit of synthetic kryptonite. Bizarro finds her down there as well.
In This Issue: “I can’t go back to that dark and lonely place in my mind”….I felt that, Bizarro. Artemis and Jason have been skeptical about all Bizarro’s newfound super intelligence and what he’s been doing with it. It has brought crime down to nothing, but it has also created a ton of problems for them as well. They were “bested” by Batwoman and her team, brought to work with the Suicide Squad and made a deal with the Suicide Squad-possibly per Bizarro’s plan, and Bizarro has even spied on his teammates. Plus you know, the whole insane events of last issue! We know he is not evil, even before (especially before) Lex Luthor granted him his new brain. Bizarro is just the off-brand clone of Superman, it’s not his fault. His plea reached Artemis, she just states his “addiction” isn’t the solution but she understands. Their conversation was deep, then he leans in for a kiss. A kiss! In the meantime, Red Hood has to get out of The Penguin’s grip. Which (spoiler): it’s not that hard! Jason has a meeting with an old friend and learns the whereabouts of another.
