“None Of You Can Kill Like Me” (All-New Wolverine #34 Comic Review)

All-New Wolverine #34-Old Woman Laura Part 2

Writer: Tom Taylor

Art: Ramon Rosanas

Color: Nolan Woodard

Cover: David Lopez

Letters: Cory Petit

Synopsis: Though most of the world’s problems have been solved in the future, that doesn’t mean there are no opportunities to SNIKT every now and then…and now that Laura’s back in the suit, she’s finding those opportunities aplenty. Plus: GUEST STARS you’d never believe and exotic locales you never thought you’d visit!

What You’ll Need To Know: In the not-so-distant future, the world is a utopia where the all the superheroes actually won. Peace has mostly been restored and Laura is the ruler of Madripoor while Gabby takes the role of Wolverine (I’m sure that annoyed some nerds since it may have been hard giving the mantle to even Laura.) Laura finds out she is dying due to some genetic makeup in her body. Her last wishes are to take down the last supervillain, Dr. Doom. Like actually kill him, even though she hasn’t killed in so long. Laura’s other final wish is to save her other sister,Bellona, who has betrayed her multiple times. We thought Gabby was going to betray Laura and Agent Hill, she did, but by asking for more help.

In This Issue: Captain Marvel and Hawkeye (Kate Bishop) join the party to stop Doom. Laura states that he is the last threat to the world, and she needs to be the one to kill him, even if she dies too. We have another awesome ally to help too, The Wasp. To everyone’s surprise, she is still alive. They thought she was dead because, well, they couldn’t see her. Janet is stuck to her tiny size. Dr. Doom essentially has his own country of people he rules. He also watches their every move. Some of the heroes technology isn’t even functioning at 100%, only Doom’s tech works under his dome, so they are at slight disadvantages. But that is not the factor that kills one of them.

Hey nerds! I'm a 23 year old cosplayer from Southern California who loves comic books as well! I love going to metal and punk shows. I'm a hostess on Shoot The Breeze Comics' shows Thought Bubbles, Panel to Panel, and Guardians of the Con-Life.
Summary
The art by Rosanas is solid along with the color by Woodard. Lopez’s cover art was good at capturing Laura’s ferocity. Taylor always brings in awesome characters and uses them to their full potential and never wastes them. I love easter eggs they have in the comic, since they are in the future.
