Synopsis: Rogue and Gambit’s romantic getaway is but a faint memory as they’re forced to team up with Deadpool to protect a dangerous and extremely valuable “package” when half the galaxy comes to claim it. What secrets does the package hold that the Imperial Guard and Deathbird (with an entire Shi’ar rebellion in tow!) will risk everything for? More importantly, can Rogue, Gambit, and Deadpool stop bickering long enough to win?
What You’ll Need To Know: Rogue and Gambit had been sent on a mission on their HONEYMOON, of all times. Their honeymoon was in space, so they happened to be the closest. There mission was to retrieve a package, which turned out to be an egg, which THEN hatched into another Rogue! Through all that, they had to battle Shia’r people and Deadpool, then they had to team up and fight with TechNet over the egg. I’m sure we’re all wondering WHY a whole other Rogue hatched out!
In This Issue: So they’re still being chased by The Imperial Guard-which they want to destroy or “it may end them all”. In the meantime, Rogue, Gambit, and Deadpool are chasing after a naked Rogue clone. Kitty is shocked to see a naked Rogue and shocked to know that the egg has broken. They learn that it is not truly a Rogue clone at all; it is the genetically engineering child of PROFESSOR XAVIER and his past love Lilandra of the Shia’r people, they wanted an heiress. Her power, however could be more than they could handle. It’s proven that she uses her telepathic powers for illusion. The child, Xandra, made them think she was Rogue as a defense mechanism. They are being attacked by Deathbird who is technically Xandra’s aunt! They are part of a rebellion, and having the egg or the Majestrix would give them the upper hand. Deadpool helped enough, but they teleported him because they can’t trust him on this mission since he was originally trying to sell the egg to anyone for the right price.
Too bad Nightshade from The Imperial Guard had taken the egg, someone they thought was dead. She may have hatched too from genetic engineering too! Cerise makes a return to assist them once again, she has affection for the egg since she looked after it and Lilandra. Now they’re on an undercover mission to retrieve Xandra! What could go wrong!
