Last Issue
Jake reunites with his wife Anne and introduces her to Murf. Soon after they come to terms with where they are in each other’s hearts. Jim calls Jake for some help. Speeding to their location in the van. Jake and Murf get a chance to show Anne what the power of music and The Heavy can do. Shredding a pentatonic and letting his shoulder mounted chain guns harmonize with the solo.
Nate is infected with some sort of Veldar parasite that helps Magnum Khaos grow stronger. This is a very quickly spreading epidemic. While he recovers in the hospital, the band reviews the tape retrieved when Jake had just got them. It explains that there is a way to stop this invasion. The Horn Of The Dead, once blown all metal musician since passed will rise up and play our salvation from the Veldar. Around this time, the lone survivor of Whisperwood shows up, and he wants in the band.
This Issue.
Hjelmdar, lead guitarist and lone survivor of that awesome black metal band, has come to join Brooticus. Murf already knows his companion Aslaug from his home realm. Assuring us that he is a great friend to have in the coming battle against the Veldar.
Following the coordinates from the tape, the gang comes to a mysterious island. Locals say it popped up five days ago. Most staying away from the area entirely. Brooticua makes its next stop on this tour and the acoustic at this play seem to be just right.
Thoughts
I can’t stop loving this series, plain and simple. Between the wonderful character development of Hjelmdar and 
Anne, and the battle scenes that just screech metal into our mind’s ear as you read. Don’t count this book out. Everything in this issue is just turned all the way up to eleven, from the writing to the artwork and all the way down to the world building. Daniel Warren Johnson is just keeping me at the edge of my jam chair waiting for the next thing to happen.

Summary This series has made me pick up my bass again. It's just that good. I can't recommend this any more than I already have because folks what we have here is a ringer. I suggest we all bang our heads and ride the lightning.
