Synopsis: In the aftermath of a gruesome murder of Harley Quinn’s new love, she needs to avenge him and stop Mayor DePerto permanently.

What You’ll Need To Know: This is the FINAL part of Vote Harley. I am assuming everyone is caught up if they are reading this, but major spoilers from last issue: Her new partner, the handsome Mason Macabre, is tortured and killed before Harley Quinn’s very eyes. He is the son of Madame Macabre, and made his first appearance in Harley Quinn Vol 2 #9. Mason is responsible for the death of Mayor Deperto’s son-in-law. He is killed to get back at Harley just because her nemesis’s Mayor DePerto and Madison Berkowitz spite her for running in the election. They finally have the opportunity to make her suffer and end her for good.

In This Issue: Lots going on! We have Harley Quinn and foe-turned-ally Harley Sinn at the mercy of one sadistic guard and one that just wants to get the job done. This is an extreme shock for Harley and she has to be strategic about getting out of there alive with an injured Sinn. An absolute CRAZY idea strikes in Harley and literally a one shot, convincing her captor to shoot her in the NECK instead of the face. You’d think with major vessels flowing through the neck, that’d be a guaranteed kill, not for Harley Quinn! Cool reference to her time in the Suicide Squad, where she had a bomb implanted in her neck if she didn’t comply with commands given to her by Amanda Waller. Luckily, that is what stopped the bullet from killing her (and somehow didn’t trigger it to explode? Thanks for pointing that out Harley Sinn). Bitchy Madison wants desperately to watch Harley Quinn’s death, and it probably would have happened if someone had been watching. Now the target is on all their heads!  This is graphic to say the least, and revenge is sweet for Harley and her team!

Summary
My heart hurts for Harley! I would have loved to see how their relationship played out in future issues, but this definitely made things more interesting on an arc that was going slow. Full of thrillers and crazy twists! I do think with Conner and Palmiotti leaving, they are killing off some characters unfortunately. That will, however, spice things up! The art by Blevins and Timms is great.
