What you need to know:
Bruce Wayne’s Son is out there, the Shadow is in town and has teamed up with Batman to take down the mystery Silent Seven and their secret emperor.
What just happened?
Bruce Wayne is making a play in the market to take down the Silent Seven, whilst Al Ghul & Khan they discuss Batman and Shadow how they are beneath them and they do not need to do anything against the.
We see Bruce and Cranston discussing that the seven have made so many connections into the world and that stopping them could grind the world to a halt.
The Shadow starts to lose control, but Wayne tells him enough, Margo Lane’s death has clearly affected him deeply. She was the only one who believed in Cranston but with her gone will there be any end to this mission.
We shift our scene to the docks where Wayne’s son Robin comes crashing in, taking Captain Welles out. Robin wants to know where to find the silent seven and that he controls the docks for them.
But Welles may be something else and tells Damian that he forgets himself and that he continues to exist at my sufferance, Robins scared expression says it all.
Back at Wayne Manor, Shadow explains that he sacrifices himself to the mission and curse, they talk about Khan and that he is the most powerful mind he has encountered.
He has not earned any of his powers and all he wants is for everyone to be at his boot as he rules the world and apparently he already has.
Lucius calls Bruce to update him one minute it’s all over the news about Mawell –Grant in freefall than it returns to normal followed by it being like it never happened.
They need a need strategy, bigger more proactive to get a reaction to draw out the silent seven and just like that Khan is in the Mansion.
The Shadow and Khan exchange should I say pleasantries, he saw Khan die but it was a trick and the silent seven became two as hundreds died.
Shadow can no longer contain himself and starts shooting but the impressive Khan just moves out the way telling the Shadow he still hides behind bullets.
Bruce shouts out to activate the intruder defence protocols, Khan tells him that he put his house to sleep and it’s just us, Bruce reveals his costume under his shirt.
We see Robin relieving a day where a sword is pointing at his chest by his Grandfather, but no more he intends to return the sword that he has in his possession.
As the storm rages on outside the Shadow and Batman fight Khan but the will war is of the mind, the Shadow almost wins but Batman’s mind has been taken over and he points his gun at Shadow’s head.
But Khan reveals an even more shocking truth about Batman and we will have to wait until next issue to find out what happens next.
This series gets stronger and stronger I lover the relationship between Bruce and Cranston, the art is delicious with smart storytelling.
The DC/Dynamite team up is fantastic with a brilliant twist at the end.
