What You Need to Know: So, on top of the videos of the League letting a terrorist get away with murder, faith in the Justice League from all sides are beginning to fall thanks to a “Fake” Batman murdering a Politician that was after them! But the strained relationships from inside the League must be set aside when one of their own is kidnapped by the man who was impersonating them!
In This Issue: “Mastermind” East St. Louis. Flashback to “The Fan” when he was just a young kid, watching the Justice League save the day from the current villain at the time. A determined kid with a Green Lantern ring, talking about his friend, who helped him when his legs got broken from a building falling on him from the fight the League are in. But without his friend, he wouldn’t be the soldier he is now. And the biggest Hal Jordan Green Lantern fan out there, which isn’t boding well for his captive Simon Baz. Turns out, Baz was disguised as Batman when he went to confront the Fan and now has a chip in his neck sending out frequencies disabling him from even moving.
“Shadow Boxing” East St. Louis. Jessica has arrived at a rooftop to meet Batman (in a comical shadow scene) about Simon being missing. Not to mention how he could let Simon go off without letting her know. While they argue, Defense Attorney, Regina Cole is on a talk show arguing against her host, Roland Knox about how the League is helpful and not a burden like the people seem to be thinking
“Snapshot” East St. Louis. A bar of people are watching the debate on television when Jessica, in civilian clothes, arrives to see if she can get some evidence of where Simon might be. Not only does she get a note with her name on it and a Snapshot of the crime scene, but an explosion. By now, the League realizes this guy is no copycat, he’s a collector, which makes him more dangerous. Meanwhile, the Fan shows Simon his new Green Lantern outfit, looking exactly like a scruffy Hal Jordan.
“Watching the Watchers” Justice League Watchtower. While Cyborg is going through the systems, he is having a flashback to the conversation he had with the Bug Bounty Hunter that seems to be haunting him. But after a call with Batman, he doesn’t have time to dwell as the two realize the Fan has in fact infiltrated their system. Just in time, Simon is able to find an escape and join the league as The Fan interrupts the Broadcast of Roland and Regina. But as the first shot is fired, Roland and Regina are actually Wonder Woman and Aquaman in disguise who switched places during the News Update! After a speedy take down, the group must now decide what to do with a person who knows all about them. But that may have to wait as they are beamed back unexpected.
