Seven years ago we saw the death of one of the most iconic items in all of comics. Superman’s red underwear.
When DC relaunched with the New 52 in 2011 Superman got a new suit that was missing his trademark briefs. This style of suit went on to be featured in the DCEU, with Henry Cavill never sporting the trunks of justice, and many of the animated films DC and Warner Bros. have put out recently.
This is all set to change on April 18, 2018 when the classic costume makes a return in the landmark issue Action Comics #1000. Check out the first official image drawn by Jim Lee below.
