The Bat-family is completely shattered and Batman tries to pick up the pieces of what is left; but when Red Robin confronts Batman, their future as team partners may be coming to an end. Meanwhile, Batwoman has drafted Batwing and Azrael into her new project.

What you need to know:

The trial for Batwoman was unsuccessful as Batman had hoped. As he tried to bring them together to stop Batwoman, he only made things worse. The Bat-family is in disrepair and all of its members are but broken puzzle pieces. Batman brings in Dr. Leslie Thompkins to console Cassandra Cane from the events that happened with Clayface, but is it too late for young Casandra? Red Robin continues to work in hopes to rebuild the Gotham Knights; Batman has other plans and both Red Robin and Batman argue of the fate of the Bat-family. Detective Comics has been leading up to this since Clayface began to question himself as a better person, we finally see the aftermath of those events and it is not a pretty sight. Dark future events may come to light and Red Robin might be the only one to stop it.

What you’ll find out:

Batman has lost all hope of bringing the Gotham Knights back, but he hasn’t lost hope in trying to help the last members of his team. As Batman tries to fix what he has broken, across the globe Batwoman and her new recruits fight off the Court of Owls to save civilians in a ship. What you are starting to see from Batwoman and her new recruits is a new beginning of something that will be a thorn in Batman’s side. Batman tried to save Batwoman from the dark path she was going to take, but in doing so he leads her right to it. Welcome to the Colony, and it’s going to be a bumpy ride… for us readers. Who’s ready for Gotham Knights vs Colony? I am! But it might not happen our old friend Ulysses Armstrong still lurking around. BROTHER EYE.

What just happened?

Reliving one of her most happy moments, Cassandra Cane tells us of a time her and Clayface stopped a villain who was trafficking children. Behind those eyes as Batwoman stated in the last issue was hatred and pain; one who is seeking revenge. The Bat-family might be completely shattered, but the Colony is ready to move into play and ready to save the world. As Red Robin runs away from what was going to be his dream come true, the dark future that Batman Tim told him about still lingers around; and what’s in the flash drive might make those events come to pass.

The future for the Bat-family looks like a dark one, one that Tim of the future warned about. With the Bat-family all shattered and new factions taking over, Batman will have a lot on his hands to handle alone. We can all see where this is heading towards, but with Ulysses Armstrong popping up and telling Red Robin of the possession he has from Tim Drakes dark future, anything can happen.
