“Heffer’s Sick Day”

Written and Illustrated by: KG Green

As the gang tries to convince Mr. Bighead to go out and find some dates with them, they begin to realize that nothing is as easy as it seems. Rock, Heffer, and Filbert notice they might be pressed on time and someone has to make an executive decision on the situation in front of them, if not; their night is ruined and they will be dateless.

What you need to know:

All the guys wanted to do was to go out, have fun, and hopefully find some dates. When Mr. Bighead appeared with his broken heart, the gang decided to help him out to feel better and forget about Mrs. Bighead. Now things have escalated and someone’s life might be in jeopardy. Rocko, Heffer, and Filbert race against time in hopes to help Mr. Bighead and get themselves some dates but what awaits them will only cause Rocko a major headache.

What you’ll find out:

The out of this world antics continue on Rocko’s Modern Life #4, this time we pick up right where the last issue ended and things have gotten really serious as Mr. Bighead is found on top of his roof proclaiming his love for his beloved Mrs. Bighead wearing only his tighty whities and drunken in his passion for his Bev. When the gang comes to terms that their night may be coming to an end and they might lose on getting dates, Rocko must decide what has to be done. Racing to get to the club on time they are met with a fate we all ourselves dread every time – traffic! And this one is at a standstill with no sight of moving. Will Rocko and his friends get to the club in time or has Mr. Bighead’s broken heart taken up what time they have left?

What just happened?

Rocko is ready to have some fun and he will not let anything stand in his way. When we see Rocko fall into one of those bad moments that seem to always follow him wherever he goes, we finally see Rocko take a stand and take control. Doesn’t mean it was a good idea or a safe one, but Rocko took that chance. As usual, Heffer and Filbert try to help but it just seems that their help mostly just adds to the fire that is Rocko’s Modern Life. When things get too heated at the club and a fight is about to go down, Rocko must leave his date that he has finally found to help his friend in need. At this point, we’re starting to see that Rocko’s life is just a pile of mess with punching gloves at every turn. Hopefully, after this crazy club night and what happened to Mr. Bighead and Mrs. Bighead, Rocko can find is club date again, maybe the girl of his dreams, and maybe fix his crazy life… let’s see.

Heffer’s Sick Day is like Channel Zeo: Candle Cover with an angry grandfather hating how kids are being raised today.

Rock’s Modern Life keeps taking me back to my childhood, and it’s an amazing feeling. Boom is working with gold and I hope it never ends.
