Responding via twitter to one of his followers, long-time DC artist Ethan Van Sciver has announced that he’s leaving DC comics for considerably greener pastures (no pun).
Maybe one day, but I want to do CYBERFROG for the next couple of years at least. I want to own something I create. DC is great, was good to me, and I had a good time there, but it’s time to try to get rich. 🙂 https://t.co/fFOahUNgdU

His run in DC is legendary! From Impulse to Justice Society of America, to the Fury of Firestormand many others there aren’t many DC heroes that Van Sciver hasn’t penned in his near 20 year run with the company. Van Sciver, probably most well-known for illustrating just about the entire length of the Green Lantern Rebirthsaga, is moving on to establish his creator-owned content. To date he has raised almost $200,000 in his Indiegogo crowd funding campaign to support his 48 page 4-part EPIC graphic novel, Cyberfrog:Bloodhoney.
