Following the epic, two and a half year run Dan Abnett is now concluding, comic super-star writer Kelly-Sue DeConnick (Marvel’s Captain Marvel, Pretty Deadly, Bitch Planet), and artist-extraordinaire Robson Rocha (Green Lanterns, Supergirl) are teaming up to helm the next new adventures of the King of seas, Aquaman!
Writer Kelly Sue DeConnick and artist Robson Rocha are taking over DC Comics’Aquaman title. In this arc, Arthur Curry washes up on an island with no memory of who he is. While attempting to rediscover who he is, he meets former sea gods that have been forgotten and were also marooned on the island.
Described by DC’s co-publisher Jim Lee as “an examination of who the character is, kind of in the vein of Daredevil: Born Again and Batman Year One,”. The story will also explore Aquaman’s relationship with his mother, Atlanna. DC also announced the start-date for the arc, beginning this December.
So get ready for Kelly-Sue DeConnick & Robson Rocha to a splash with Aquaman this holiday season! It’s sure to be OUTRAGEOUS! Be sure to look for it and pre-order!
