As they continue to go after that fabled “New Comic Reader” publishers search high and low for, DC Comics press forward with their plans to drop their 100 page giant books, digests containing reprints of New 52 and even pre-New 52 reprints of issues and 1 new story, are gearing up to launch their 3rd issue of Superman 100 Page giant with an all-new story by writer Tom King as well as the Justice League 100 Page Giant containing an all-new Wonder Woman story by Amanda Connor and Jimmy Palmiotti.
King, known for his award-winning run on Vision, his current Batman, Mister Miracle, and the upcoming event Heroes In Crisis, is taking his second dive into the mind of Clark Kent after his first short story was included in the commemorative Action Comics 1000 anthology issue. Now in what DC is calling the “cornerstone” of this digest, with artist Any Kubert with him to help craft an amazing 12 chapter story to bring to current common fans and casual superhero fans alike. The story itself is said to include Superman cast Lois Lane and Perry White, in addition to cameo appearances from Batman and Green Lantern.
In addition to King’s 12 Chapter tale of the Red-Blue Blur, we have the Justice League 100 Page Giant which will include an all-new Wonder Woman story to be written by Amanda Connor & Jimmy Palmiotti, well known for their work on Harley Quinn, Starfire and other titles, with art by Chad Hardin, Alex Sinclair, and Travis Lanham. Titled “Come Back to Me”, the story will see Diana Prince, Steve Trevor, and Etta Candy and tell a story about firefighters battling a blazing wildfire in the mountains.
