Synopsis: Red Hood is about to take this vigilante game to a whole new level. His partners – Bizarro and Artemis? Gone without a trace! His bestfriend and ally Arsenal is in rehab, and Batman and Jason are through. Jason is cast out of Gotham. Red Hood embarks on a bold, brutal new mission with a new costume, new weapons, and a new plan to punish evildoers across the DCU.
What You’ll Need To Know: Jason is recovering mentally from the events of the last few issues. He lost his teammates (little does he know there is still hope!) and Batman, the man who raised him as Robin has pretty much disowned him and beat him to a pulp after he shot the Penguin. His remaining ally saved him but has his own demons to work through in rehab. Red Hood doesn’t have anyone’s rules to play by anymore and he really has nothing left to lose. He already lost his family.
In This Issue: So clearly, Jason is not afraid to kill anymore. The baddies are getting what they deserve in his eyes and there’s far less killers in the world. After all, this gang he encountered on his travels known as the drug ring “The Underlife” had executed an FBI agent and left his partner for dead. They seem to be linked. We do know what they are doing but they are working with a Sheriff. Like Jason said, Underlife is what everyone is talking about. He saves an officer who does not like what he is doing either but in the end in saves her behind. Not much happens in this issue, we’re starting a new storyline with dramatic changes to the team (obviously we’re missing two), and to Jason’s outlook.
