It was announced today Brie Larson, star of the upcoming Captain Marvel film for Marvel Studios, has signed a 7 film deal to appear as the titular Captain.
With this news, it appears all but certain there will be a Captain Marvel film trilogy and Brie Larson having a starring role in upcoming Avengers films. There will assuredly be excitement amongst fans of the character that she will be going higher. Further. Faster. More.

On Twitter, Brie Larson cleared things by saying the initial report was false.
