Then there was 6… Again. (Teen Titans 23 Comic Review)

What Happened – It starts with an assassination on Commissioner Gordon.  We then cut to where we finished off last issue, with Kid Flash finding Roundhouse alive.  He is explaining how he survived being catapulted in to space when Robin’s calls the team in about the shooting of Gordon. Kid Flash and Roundhouse go to the scene to find out it was really Djinn pretending to be Gordon to draw out the Assassin, whilst the other members lie in wait.  The Team welcomes Roundhouse back and make him a full member and they all go after the shooter, Lady Vic.  They chase her in to a building and when they think have her cornered. They find her shot to death with the words ‘BOOM’ written in blood and then the whole building explodes…

My Thoughts – I do wonder how many times Gordon has faked his death now? Anyways, now we’re back up to a full roster with the return of Roundhouse. The team goes on another mission and we learn a bit more about their team dynamics and relationships, but that’s it.  There no great plot or original ideas. It’s not a bad issue, just not very memorable. The art is good, bright colors and cartoonish style suits the younger audience trend. I was hoping to see more of the Damian/Jason storyline but I’ll have to wait for that.
