*News Flash* The mystery of the farm is coming! Jeff Lemire’s Black Hammer hits TV and Film!

Get ready to enter a weird-yet-familiar world of bizarre heroes & adventures, as Jeff Lemire’s Black Hammer universe is getting the live-action treatment!

Announced today by Legendary Entertainment, the Dark Horse indie superhero-universe is being adapted to both film and TV, bringing both the main on-going series (Black Hammer/Black Hammer: Age of Doom), and the various miniseries (Sherlock Frankenstein & the Legion of Evil/Doctor Star & the Kingdom of Lost Tomorrows/Quantum Age: From the World of Black Hammer) to the big & small screen.

The indie comic series (and 2017 Eisner Award winner of Best New Series) focuses around the lives of several golden & silver age heroes who mysteriously wake up in a strange town, unable to leave, after battling the Anti-God and disappearing from the world at large. Golden Gail (a woman with the power to transform into a mystically-powered girl), Abraham Slam (a non-powered brawler and one of the first superheroes to appear), Barbalien (an alien from Mars sent to study humans after a NASA craft crashed on his homeworld), Colonel Weird & his companion Talky Walky (a cosmic explorer and robot best friend), and Madame Dragonfly (a witch bound to protecting an enigmatic cabin) must try and solve the mysteries of what happened to them & how reporter Lucy Webber, the daughter of one of their compatriots, the titular Black Hammer, has made her way into the peculiar town.

Jeff Lemire has stated he will be involved with writing the adaptations.
