TCWN: BRONZE AGED PRICE VARIANTS, WHAT ARE THEY?

In April of 1976, Marvel decided it was time to raise the price of their comics due to the increase in price of publishing. To test this, six markets were chosen to try the price increase over a four month period. So Marvel took this time to raise prices from .25 to .30 cents on select books. This test must have been successful because in September of 1976 all comics were priced at .30 cents.

Marvel again needed to raise their prices, so starting in June of 1977 to October of 1977 they once again tested their price increase. This time from .30 to .35 cents. The test market was even smaller this time around, at five markets instead of the six used the first time. Which makes these even more difficult to locate. The markets were as followed. Again, a list of the .35 cent variants are listed after the test markets.
