Multiple Problems? (Uncanny X-men #2 Comic Review)

Uncanny X-men Issue 1 (Disassembled Part Two)

Writer: Ed Brisson, Matthew Rosenberg, and Kelly Thompson

Artist: R B Silva

Color: Rachelle Rosenberg

Inker: Adriano Di Benedetto

Cover: Leinil Francis and Edgar Delgado

Letters: VC’s Joe Caramagna

What you need to know:
Kitty Pyrde, Aston Allen and Apocalypse have been kidnapped but by who? Multiple Man is back but why to prevent some sort of disaster, Angel few from a battle to sound of whispers and the X-men how no clue on what’s going on?.

What just happened?
Lots of crazy events taking place, animals extinct are appearing across the globe along with Dinosaurs, but there is a herd of Multiple men amassing, Beast has a theory that this is another part of the puzzle but which piece.

The team splits into two, Strom’s will take on Multiple Man and his planned attack which Jean detected whilst Jean’s team will help any innocent bystanders from the strange phenomenon. It’s nice to see Jean and Bobby’s relationship although I don’t recall them being quite so tight.

These Jamie’s do not appear to be normal as they show extraordinary powers when overwhelming the X-men, also whom is knocking on the door of the mansion whilst a mass protest takes place outside?

Final thoughts:

There were a few moments I felt was not necessary Jubilee swearing for one, Jean not knowing what her team is capable of when X-23 gets eaten by a dinosaur what do you think was going to happen. I did enjoy the kids acknowledging that they are just left behind maybe there is hope yet for them if the writer already knows this. I just felt there was no real movement and we are on the slow train with this series.

I have been into comics since the early 90's and my main passion has been X-men I collect books, figures and any collectiables I can get my hands on. For shoot the breeze I have the pleasure opening my eyes to new worlds and adventures. I also do the Across the Pond Trades where I get an opportunity to look at trade paperbacks and review them via our YouTube channel. I also have my own Facebook page and Youtube called Smerdp which is full of plastic goodness. Many Thanks Paul
Summary
Protecting a world that hates and fears them they are children of the atom, they are the X-men trying to preserve Charles Xavier's dream that humans and mutants can live in peace.
Good
  • X-men discussing an issue in the command centre, felt like old times
Bad
  • Jubilee Swearing
  • Madrox has new powers, how?
  • Too many X-men perhaps, I would like to see nice solid smaller team.
