All throughout the last story arc Leia has been working on a revenge plot.  She is finally back with the rebellion and in position to put her plan into action.  To get it done she’s putting together a team so that she can both get her revenge and score major win for the rebellion.

Thoughts (some spoilers)

This issue comes together a lot like the beginning of a heist movie.  Leia tells Han and Luke her plan and then they go collect people to help them pull off the job.  I watch a lot of heist movies, so I thought this was a lot of fun.

My favorite part though is that one of the people they pick up is an actor in a play.  Not just any play though.  This man plays a version of Luke Skywalker in a play about the rebellion.  It’s like that episode of Avatar: the Last Airbender, where they see the Ember Island players.  It was a moment that made me really happy.  So, far I’m enjoying this story arc a lot more than the last one.

Now as far as the art goes, there are places where it looks really good, and others where it doesn’t look nearly as good.  It’s mostly the expressions on that characters faces that are off.  The backgrounds and all of the creatures looked nice though.  I especially liked the spaceships.  Spaceships are cool and they all looked pretty great in this issue.  I also liked the way they used textures throughout the issue.

I live in the desert and spend a lot of time reading comics and any science fiction I can get my hands on.
I like this a lot more than previous issues. There seems to be a lot more going on and there are bits that make me happy. Hopefully, it keeps up.
  • There was a scene that I found really fun
  • The textures are great
  • It seems like this story is going to be more fun than the last one
  • the art isn’t a consistent as I would like
  • the colors all seem to blend together
