NEWSFLASH – N.K. Jemisin to write for YOUNG ANIMAL return

NEWSFLASH

In an announcement sending waves through the comics community today, DC announced the return of their YOUNG ANIMAL imprint. Gerard Way is making his return to the imprint, but the real news is the upcoming title FAR SECTOR.

Writer N.K. Jemisin has been tapped to craft a brand new Green Lantern story for the imprint. N.K. Jemisin is a multiple award-winning writer of novels, including the Hugo-winning THE FIFTH SEASON and her newest title, HOW LONG TIL BLACK FUTURE MONTH? This will be her first foray into comics.

With such a talented and prolific writer on board, who better to compliment the writing than Jamal Campbell on art? Check out the solicitation below and be sure to keep an eye out for this book when it hits shelves later this year.

FAR SECTOR

Written by: N.K. Jemisin

Art by: Jamal Campbell

Series debut: 2019

Newly chosen Green Lantern Sojourner “Jo” Mullein has been protecting the City Enduring, a massive metropolis of 20 billion people, for the past six months. The City has maintained peace for over 500 years by stripping its citizens of their ability to feel. As a result, violent crime is virtually unheard of, and murder is nonexistent.

But that’s all about to change.

This new series introduces a dizzying game of politics and philosophies as Jo discovers a brewing revolution in the City, aided and abetted by some of its most powerful citizens.
