Last Issue

At the tail end of Detective Comics #1000 was a monologue showcasing Batman as one the greatest villains around. He beats the mentally ill and makes them worse. Has no respect for those who are different. Blind to the world around him, never bending in his ways. Leaping without looking, certain that his plan will always work no matter how reckless. What’s worse? He’s raising a family to follow in his footsteps. Arkham Knight says Batman needs justice, Arkham Knight 2020

This Issue

Its another late night for Batman. Just before hanging up his cowl for the night, Gordon calls. Says they are finding entire colonies of bats dead throughout Gotham. This is certainly enough to draw Bruce’s attention. perhaps its time he seeks the help of someone intimately familiar with bats and how they operate.

Thoughts

This issue is an exciting read. Between all the awe of the panels and plot. There’s a lot to unpack here. Especially from an introduction to a new villain. Granted he came from the Arkham games, but this Knight is looking to be his own character and not some long-winded Under The Red Hood stuff. The artwork does very well to illustrate the dark and light dynamic you see in the issue. Its gonna be a long two weeks.

Born in Florida, dragged to California because of Internet dating. Comics have always helped me have a healthy escape when I was younger. As I got older my friends used me as their comic encyclopedia for random trivia. Now, I show my daughter all the stories and characters that helped me through, and being able to share my views on that through reviews is one of my favorite privileges.
Summary
Arkham Knight is gearing to be a serious threat and I'm here for it. He has an evolved Azreal feeling to him and his actions so far hade my jaw drop.
