The Arkham Knight had Batman surrounded and outgunned illuminated by the daylight bomb. Severely wounded, Bruce is in no position to run, much less fight. In the nick of time, Jim Gordon shows up with the GCPD. Bruce being as stubborn as he is, must be physically thrown into the batmobile by Jim and sent back to the cave.
While Alfred takes out the crossbow bolts out of Bruce. Batman analyzes the arrows and determines they are of the same material as his bat suit. Just then he receives a call from Damian who was tasked with recovering some material left over from the daylight bomb. He’s found what he came for, but the Arkham Knight’s troops are there waiting for him and manage to capture him.
Damian put up a decent fight trying to escape. The Arkham Knight prepared very well for this and had Damian pinned down soon after his inevitable attempt. Revealing her face to him in an attempt to bring him to her cause. Robins belong in the light. However, during this meeting. Damian is nowhere to be found in Gotham. A worthy reason for Bruce to panic.
This new villain is doing very well at keeping me interested. This religious zealot of light feels like a militarized Azrael. The art style throughout this issue is very well done. Heavy contrasts in the panels to signify light and dark between the two characters coupled now with night and day tactics. I’m very interested to see what comes next.
