The Dark Multiverse, an endless chasm of vile, decaying, and warped universes. Visited once more by the gaze of Tempus Fuginaut, he’s attempting yet again to find hope for the coming crisis in the most hopeless place in the DC mythos. What could go wrong?
Well on this particular gaze into the abyss. Tempus spots a universe that had its main tone shift at the height of the events of the Blackest Night. This time Sinestro failed to make use of his white ring and hope was lost in the main fight. 19 days later, very few are left standing.
One of those few is the main man Lobo, and even in the face of oblivion, he has a bounty to find. With the help of Sinestro the Limbo Lantern. Lobo and his target need to get off of the Earth. While trying not to run into all of the universe’s life forms smelling their emotion.
This was an amazing spin ending on an amazing comic arc. Between the throwbacks to all of the characters to the treatment of the lore in this separate universe is really an amazing way to makes this what if in my honest opinion. The artwork revives the feeling of terror and vulnerability that Blackest Night gave us. On top of being even darker than that of the original.
