What You Need to Know: Carol Danvers is known as Captain Marvel, one of the Earth’s Mightiest Hero’s and a member of the Avengers. But now she has murdered Thor and presented his head to Vox Supreme, a Mutated Kree who recently wiped out almost eh entire Inhuman Race. He has given Carol 24 hours to kill all the Core Avengers and Carol has 5 left to go. . .
In This Issue: It’s a typical morning for Tony Stark until Captain Marvel comes crashing through! While being smashed through his place after delivering Thor’s head, Stark’s Iron Man suit automatically fits on and the fight can start. Carol knows that she has to be smart, smarter then Tony if you possible if she wants to win and knows just what to do to beat the next Avenger on her list. That is with a little help from the anomaly known as Singularity. Inside a special space Singularity created for Captain Marvel, she is able to explain to a very alive Iron Man and Thor what is going on. After a visit to a Kree Safety camp housing innocent Kree family’s, Carol was taken Prisoner by Vox Supreme who merged himself inside her, making sure he could follow her every move. If she wants to save herself and the Kree Safety Camps around the world then she must kill ALL of the Avengers in 24 hours. Thankfully, Carol can calm herself enough to be able to think of a plan that just might work in fooling Vox Supreme.
So glad Tony was next on Carol’s “must kill all Avenger’s List” and even more so that it kept right up with the action. Little talk during the fight like the previous issue and straight into the fighting. I also loved how they illustrated Tony’s suit fitting on to him as you read, it looks so cool in the movies you would think it would be hard to translate it to page. But Garbett does an amazing job of illustrating the sequence and the entire issue. Also, a very nice Segway as to why exactly Captain Marvel is doing what she is doing to the Avenger’s and it may seem a bit cliché “Do This or Else!” scenario but it is written well enough you believe that Carol has no choice.
