What You Need to Know:

The mysterious foe our heroes(?) have been tracking down this whole time is none other than KANGAROO THE CONQUEROR. After traveling across many universes, Spider-Man and Spider-Ham finally corner Kangaroo. Meanwhile the heroes of Spider-Ham’s Earth encounter the villain who has been sucking out all of the color and turning everyone evil, KANG THE CONQUEROR.

……. wait.

What Happens:

We learn the history of Kangaroo the Conqueror, a joke among the Kang community (long story short, Kang is a time traveler who likes to hang out with alternate versions of himself), so they exiled him and decided to wipe his entire world from existence since they find it so irritating. So the heroes of Ham’s world try to fight off the Kang that is destroying their world, while Spider-Man and Ham work on getting Kangaroo to help them stop Kang. After a pep talk from Ham, Kangaroo agrees to help, giving Spider-Man and Ham access to two Kang suits, giving them access to some of Kang’s powers. And so together the 3 join forces and go fight Kang the Conqueror before he destroys the world.

Thoughts:

This was a fun issue as usual. Spider-Ham is pretty good here, and I got a laugh out of Kangaroo the Conqueror and how he annoyed all of the other Kangs. Peter is really just a background character this issue, he doesn’t really say or do much. Kang just being annoyed at literally everything in Spider-Ham’s world is funny to me, he’s the straight man this book needs. Zeb Wells is having fun writing this and you can tell. Will Robson’s art is also really good as usual. I think my favorite joke was the Endgame reference, where Ham calls up his Captain America equivalent and tells him “On your left”, but he’s actually on his right and they start arguing over the radio. It’s a fun issue in a fun series, especially if you’re a fan of Spider-Ham. Unfortunately much like last issue, no Black Colt, so I’m gonna have to say it’s bad(not really).
