Hello, dear readers! Today is a momentous day. One of clashing bone, sinew, and metal. Snyder and Capullo are back in rare form to usher in the future of the entire DCU. You read that right. The whole thing. Coming right off of the end of the League’s clash with Perpetua. We are thrust into a ruined Earth where only 8 of the known 52 universes remain and Diana and Swamp Thing are the wardens of hell itself. Batmen walk the Earth in what is now a hellscape, half of which being New Apokolips.

Through the chaos and madness, Bruce lies in the shadows. Desperately trying to save what’s left of his home, while TBMWL floods it with more evil Bruce counterparts and further subjugates the remaining live denizens. Pulling out all of the stops comes prepared to save who he can by any means necessary. For Diana, what they can isn’t enough. There must be a way to save everyone. The key to that may lie in the newest prisoner the Dark Knights brought down to hell.

With a revitalized vigor after seeing her old friend and lover. Diana moves to do just that. The new prisoner is in the ninth circle of treachery. A vast icy wasteland where only the least trustworthy and the devil himself roam. She didn’t go alone, however. Our favorite laughing bat had a feeling she would be down here. He has a supreme intellect for planning and preparation, but did he prepare for a Diana that has nothing to lose?

                           Thoughts

Anyone who has read my reviews of Snyder Capullo knows that I’m 100000% a whole fanboy for their work. From Death of the Family to Last Knight on Earth. This dynamic duo has not once disappointed me and this time around, I’m a child again. I read this listening to death metal for dramatic effect even. Making a playlist to ensure its metal enough for this wonderous work of fiction and art.

Again, their work brings me to my knees in awe of how well these two vibe together. From the iconic metal song nicknames in the credits to the absolute metal nature of this whole book. There’s not a single inch of this book I am not in love with. Don’t be fooled though, Batman is all over the place here, but this clearly a Wonder Woman book and I am here for it. Diana being the League’s symbol of hope with none left a major impression on me. While giving her a penchant for brutality on a level I don’t think we have ever seen before. This series is going to be one of my all-time favorites and I know for sure I am not the only one. Go pick up a copy of this at your local LCS ASAP and ride the lightning with the best Batman team of creators on this side of New Apokolips

Born in Florida, dragged to California because of Internet dating. Comics have always helped me have a healthy escape when I was younger. As I got older my friends used me as their comic encyclopedia for random trivia. Now, I show my daughter all the stories and characters that helped me through, and being able to share my views on that through reviews is one of my favorite privileges.
Summary
As you can probably guess, I am foaming at the mouth for this to come to fruition in full. Being a lifelong metalhead and Batman fan, this has a special place in my heart where it will permanently remain. I can't express to you guys enough how excited I am for this to have more issues. Like any good mosh pit warrior pick up those who fall down reading this. We cannot allow this series to be a rainbow in the dark. It's far too balls to the wall to be left behind right now, nothing else matters in comics.
