What You Need to Know:

Knull is here and everyone is losing. Eddie Brock was in critical condition, before dying at the end of the issue after an attempt to bond him to a Symbiote goes wrong. All seems lost.

What Happens:

Dylan, now enraged at his dad’s death, decides he needs to hurt something. And so he goes out with the other heroes and takes on Knull’s never-ending hordes. Knull catches notice of Dylan and decides to take him, but before he can, Thor finally arrives and confronts Knull directly. They engage in a fight that ends with Knull’s lower jaw getting broken off, but that is just a mere inconvenience, as he grows a new one fairly quickly. He then stabs Thor with the All-Black and wakes up his Symbiote-controlled Celestials. So Iron Man then takes his Symbiote Dragon, flies into one of the Celestials, and takes control from there, giving him essentially one giant suit of armor. Throughout the book there’s a mysterious narrator, talking about a God of Light, Knull’s opposite. And how it’s trying to get to Earth, but can’t get through because of Knull’s dome, but HE can, as we cut to a page of Silver Surfer declaring that he is on his way to Earth to save the day.

Thoughts:

Definitely a much less packed issue than the last one, but just as good. Thor FINALLY showing up to fight Knull was so satisfying to see. He’s actually able to hurt him and it’s always good to see characters who go on and on about how cool and awesome they are getting taken down a peg. The art continues to be phenomenal during this event, the action, in particular, is amazing, especially once Thor shows up and all the lightning is going everywhere. The issue is basically one big fight scene and it’s just so much fun. And the final reveal of Silver Surfer on his way to Earth is just so so SO good. I can’t wait for more from him!
